Notes on cinema - Life as a miracle and 500 days of summer
“Life as a miracle”
Kusturica partially wrote the music for the film himself, and he also performed it with his band The No Smoking Orchestra. Nothing unexpected: Slavic-Gypsy melodies, played as is customary in rural clubs of Eastern Europe. Kusturica is incredibly musical. The rhythm of the action is more important than the logic of the narrative, hence the multiple repetitions – the peculiarities of his style. On the screen, everything is moving, changing, developing. Everyone: people, objects, animals – are damn charming and Balkan temperamental. Sometimes the details are even too expressive, but this is not always good. Yes, of course, animals in the frame work wonders, it is impossible to understand how such reactions and behavior were achieved. But they take away more attention than they should, they amaze so much that they distract from the action. Of the three main animal actors – a dog, a cat and a donkey – the director's favorite was clearly a stubborn donkey who decided to throw herself under the train because of unhappy love. For some reason, this particular "Anna Karenina" seems especially touching to him. Although all viewers after watching are divided into two parties: the first are fans of a cheeky cat, the second are devoted dogs.
Kusturica again found a way to reconcile sadness with the Balkan love of life. The war is shown in an extremely theatrical manner. But against the background of this clowning, the Bosnian Sabahi's monologue about how the Serbs killed her fellow doctors sounds especially piercing. The director prefers a detached position, although his hometown of Sarajevo was destroyed during the war. Kusturica has never supported radical views in politics. He is a pacifist. Commenting on his on-screen interpretation of the Balkan war, the director says that he refuses to judge which people are right and which are wrong. Such a statement of the issue does not solve the problem, but only freezes, and over time everything returns to normal. "This is a dirty war,– says Emir Kusturica. "It has nothing to do with what is shown on television." In his opinion, it is the media's fault. Using cinema as a way of agitation and propaganda is the last thing.
Review of the film "500 days of summer”
Sad movie. Good, but very sad and not at all life-affirming.
The main character, Tom Hensen, is desperately in love with a girl, Summer Fin, who absolutely does not believe in such things as love. Yes, and she also claims that while you are young, you need to live for your own pleasure, and as a result, there can be no serious relationship. That's such an ambush. This is bad news for Tom, but you can not think about it yet, the main thing now is to get the attention of the lovely Summer.
And let's say that he succeeds. After spending several months and half an hour of screen time on it, but, nevertheless, Summer is now his girlfriend. Although of course she does not recognize this, as a result of which the very problems that Tom knew about in advance begin. But what can you do if pop music and touching movies have hammered into your head that you can only be happy with one single woman. And Tom is suffering. Actually, that's the whole movie. Something similar to the Taste of the Night, the film is good enough, if you are interested in my opinion.
However, let's return to the “summer". Redhead girls fucked on camera
