Alistair Campbell to keynote at National Freelancers Day

Alistair Campbell has been announced as the keynote speaker at this year’s National Freelancers Day (NFD) event, to be held in London on Wednesday November 21st.

Dubbed the ‘Sultan of Spin’ from his time as director of communications for Tony Blair, Mr Campbell will deliver a keynote address to the freelance celebration at the RSA building.

Since leaving No 10, Campbell has turned his attention to freelance writing, but his “understanding of the worlds of politics, strategy and communications” still holds “mythical status,” says PCG, NFD's organiser.

Of the event, the freelance trade body reflected: “[After] a key-note address from the inimitable Alastair Campbell, [follows] a film premiere and an incisive debate featuring leading lights from the worlds of business and politics”.

Broadcaster Sue Lawley will host the evening event, which PCG says is due to feature “top speakers and panellists debating key issues,” ahead of a networking reception for all. Tickets for NFD are now on sale
