I'm a successful freelance writer producing articles on art and culture, alongside copy for galleries, artists, arts organisations and websites.

Widely published in print and online by major international publications - including The Art Newspaper and Frieze - I cover a broad range of subjects and writing styles, from features and news, to interviews, artists' statements and monographs.

Exhibition catalogues, artists' statements & monographs
I provide texts for exhibitions and artists, creating engaging copy that can help illuminate an artist's work. These texts can be designed to introduce individual exhibitions or to give an overview of an artist's career. The attached example was produced for an exhibition in Romania.
Interviews
I carry out interviews with a vast range of people, from artists and curators to politicians and business people. It's a great way to meet interesting people and to publicise their stories. The excerpt here is taken from an interview with the well-known UK artist Gillian Wearing published in Flux magazine.
Websites
I've developed websites for a range of clients, writing content and advising on design. I can help arts organisations set the right tone, and give artists the best words to describe their work. News
I'm available for all kinds of news reporting for print and online publications. I can also use my reporting skills to carry out corporate research and to produce company literature.

I currently provide monthly news stories to The Art Newspaper, reporting on developments in central and eastern Europe. I use my wide contact base to research information and to provide exclusive perspectives on events.
Features
Writing detailed, content rich features is one of the best ways to tell a story, or inform people about something new and exciting. I write feature articles for a number of major publications and find it one of the most enjoyable parts of my job.

In most cases, features are the result of my own original ideas and research, but I am also happy to write commissioned articles.

Reviews
I write regular reviews for international publications like 'Frieze' magazine. I can turn my hand to serious, in depth criticism, or write shorter, snappier summaries. I cover visual art, music, film and technology and am always willing to look at something new.
