We have negotiated a special deal where our readers' accounts will remain free of charges so long as you remain in credit.

You also do not need to maintain the usual minimum balance requirement of £5,000 for the account itself (although please note the Gold Visa Deferred debit card does have minimum balance requirements.)

Private Bank Account

Cater Allen's current account is ideal if you're looking for flexibility, instant access and attractive interest rates. It comes with a cheque book and paying-in book. The account has no transaction limits, so the account will not be charged for standard transactions. You can also apply for a Gold VISA deferred debit card, although minimum balance terms apply to the card itself. Multiple currency options are also available with the VISA card. Investment Account

Full banking facilities, still with instant access but higher rates of interest. This account is ideal if you do not want to make many transactions each month, want to set aside savings and cash reserves but still require flexibility to use your funds as and when you wish.

The account comes with a cheque book and paying-in book and you can apply for a VISA card. The account has a transaction limit of up to 20 a month (for which you will not be charged) and is only available in Sterling. Earn up to 4.25% on this account. Sovereign 30 Deposit Account

Offers an attractive rate of interest where customers are able to give 30 days notice of any withdrawal they wish to make.

The account comes with a paying-in book, but no cheque book. If 30 days notice is not given, then the interest for 30 days is forfeited. Earn up to 4.50% on this account. If a balance of £10,000 is maintained then the interest can be "swept out" to an account of the  customer's choice. Account Requirements:

Proof of Income will be required for all Cater Allen Personal Accounts, either by enclosing your last three month's bank statements or payslip demonstrating an annual income of £25,000+ or liquid assets to that effect.

Gold VISA Deferred Debit Card:

If you apply for a card you will need to have £5,000 in your account.
