App lets photographers check microstock sales

Freelance photographers can now check their earnings from microstock agencies and receive notifications when their images are purchased, thanks to a new app.

Stock Stats, which is available for iOS and Android devices, trawls the user’s agency to obtain the image number and current balance.

According to its developer Ray Woo, the free software is even able to estimate the user’s monthly earnings, daily earnings, or RPI per month.

At the time of writing, supported agencies include Alamy, Bigstock, DepositPhotos, Dreamstime, Fotolia, iStock and Shutterstock, as well as six others.

The developer says even more agencies will be supported in a future version of Stock Stats. The current version is available from leading app stores.
