8. National Video Archive of Performance Screenings at the V&A

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the NVAP, the V&A will present a series of screenings, ranging from classic plays to West-End hits, from pantomimes and musicals to physical theatre and new writing. Established in 1992, the National Video Archive of Performance (NVAP) contains over 280 high-quality recordings of outstanding productions, and documents 20 years of British theatre.
Each screening will be introduced by a member of the original production or a V&A curator, and starts at 14.00 on selected Sundays.

As part of the Edinburgh Science Festival, this free, open-air photography exhibition reveals subject matter usually invisible to the human eye. From the micro to the macro, from the majesty of nature to the intricate workings of the human body, continued advances in technology and science enable us to see and understand our world like never before. More than 50 images make visible to attendees what is normally invisible to them, such as the last moments of the explosion of a super nova in deep space!
