Photographers are being invited to bend the government’s ear by taking part in the first comprehensive survey of the photo-imaging workforce.
The results will be used to lobby both government and educational bodies to uphold training standards, boost their understanding of the industry and keep practitioners’ skills up-to-date.
Respondents to the survey, run by the industry’s Sector Skills Council, can also identify any emerging issues that affect how they, as photographers, secure and carry out their work.
There are four questionnaires to choose from, each of which is tailored towards the sub-sector of the industry in which photographers work.
The Sector Skills Council for the Audio Visual Industries said the survey, available online ,is vital if the government is to address the industry’s needs and skills issues.
