A video games website is searching for talented news writers who can pen breaking news stories better than their editorial team.
Gamepro.com says it wants to hire a smart, capable, experienced writer who has a wide knowledge of video games and is “up-to-date with the industry.”
“UK writers are welcome [to apply], and can be a valuable asset, given the five-hour time difference,” a spokesman for the US-based site told Freelance UK yesterday.
“Interested applicants should send a brief resume and a sample news article that expresses their journalistic abilities.”
The site, which carries the mantra ‘Where Gamers Go First,’ said it was looking for daily news writers whose writing is “accessible.”
