The female owner of a skincare company, which sells creams and ointments free of harmful chemicals, has proved she and her products have ‘nothing to hide’ by stripping naked.
Joanna Gardener, of Ovelle Pharmaceuticals, has reportedly seen sales leap by 500% since she starred in a 60-second promo video without wearing any clothes.
Although she appears fully nude in the video, which is set in a brilliant white laboratory, she can be seen only in the background, sitting behind a laptop with other nude ‘scientists.’
“As a mother of three children, I didn’t think I was the right choice for the front of the advert so we went for someone a bit easier on the eye,” Ms Gardener told The Daily Mail yesterday.
Her comments refer to the female narrator who, like the white-coated experts who navigate their way round skincare labs on TV, spells out the unique qualities of Ovelle’s latest product.
However unlike her televised peers the blonde lab expert, and every other actor in the video, is naked, although reproduced versions of the video have now been censored.
The clip ends with the blonde saying people need to not fear for the long-term health of their skin if they use the newest addition to the Elave range, which has ‘nothing to hide.’
“The response has been phenomenal,” said Mrs Gardener, who tried to recruit her solicitor husband to star in the video.
“We’ve even had responses from America and Canada where we don’t have any retail outlets.”
