If you’re a freelancer, entrepreneur or start-up with a story to tell about how your business has succeeded through using technology in an innovative way then BT wants to hear from you.
As part of its new small business offering, the telecoms giant is launching the second Essence of the Entrepreneur competition, which will spotlight 20 tech-savvy business owners.
All entrants will have their start-up stories judged by a panel of experts, comprising top entrepreneurs, who will be looking for firms that have prospered thanks to technology.
To make the shortlist of 20 winners, all of whom will have their photographs displayed along London’s South Bank, BT says that you must be able to prove “exceptional dedication.”
Last year, over 200 firms entered the competition, with winners emerging from an eclectic range of industries, from garden design to a diet delivery service to a sausage manufacturer.
This year, judges will be looking for the best female entrepreneur, the best male entrepreneur, the young entrepreneur of the year, and the most original business concept.
Top photographer Perou will snap a portrait of each winner, who will see the shot and their business in lights in a high-profile exhibition at the capital’s gallery@oxo in November.
