Photographers sue Hollywood stars

Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards are being sued by two freelance photographers who claim Richards assaulted them for taking her picture and that the women lied about the spat.

According to details of the lawsuit obtained by the Associated Press, Scott Cosman and Rik Fedyck were called “paparazzi scum” after Richards saw them taking her picture.

The suit reportedly alleges that Richards called them names, assaulted them, seized their laptops and threw their computers over a hotel balcony on November 9 last year.

Both Hollywood actresses are accused of making false and defamatory statements to police and media after the incident at the River Rock Casino Resort in British Columbia, Canada.

Their comments were specifically designed to “embarrass, humiliate and ridicule” them, the photographers stated in the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles’s Superior Court.

The freelancers seek unspecified damages for the incident, which they say caused them to lose revenue as well as emotional stress, as their other clients apparently abandoned them.

Some clarity may emerge from a recording of the 20 minute confrontation, as the photographers say it was filmed by hotel security cameras.
