A portal set up by BT for company owners to showcase themselves as small business stars is still open and accepting entries.
The One Plan Challenge is calling any owner-manager to submit details of their venture for a chance to win a complete makeover of their business.
A total of three businesses will be selected as grand prize winners, with each promised the “best of the best” in terms of advice, support and guidance.
According to organisers, winners will spend a day in central London, beginning with a limousine and helicopter trip to meet with mentor Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business.
Over breakfast, winners will discuss what makes a business successful, before they embark on a full schedule of meetings with specialists in the branding, marketing and public relations sectors.
David Frost, director-general of the British Chamber of Commerce, will join the A-list mentors, who, at each stage will issue advice on techniques and technologies to improve the winner’s business.
The winners will then be fitted for a bespoke suit by a Savile Row tailor before going to dinner at a London restaurant and spending the night at a top hotel.
Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business, said the competition underlines BT’s commitment to helping small businesses thrive.
“The business world has changed immeasurably in recent years. SMEs can now compete on a level playing field with larger companies, offering great service and diverse products to a much wider audience, regardless of location,” he said.
“They can now also access the very best in techniques and technology to help drive their business, save valuable time and money and ultimately be more successful.”
