The 2011 Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon, on Sunday 16th October, is one of the top events in the autumn running calendar. This year the event is a complete sell out with 15,000 runners signing up to take part. There will also be a children's fun run and a wheelchair race on the day. Barnardo's, the charity partner of the race, is currently looking for photographers who would relish the opportunity to work with a leading children's charity as well as enhancing their portfolio. This position is suitable for someone who has a passion for photography and is keen to learn more about event photography. These pictures will reach a wide audience, giving a photographer a chance to have their work seen by thousands. You will need spirit and drive and be able to enjoy the atmosphere of a large event. This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic amateurs or starting professionals that wish to add another dimension to their portfolio. Reasonable expenses will be covered and a brief outlining the day will be provided nearer the time. We will require all rights to the images taken on the day.
