Image file, thumbnail differs from main image
This is an image file. When you upload an image file a thumbnail is automatically created.

If you want control over how the thumbnail works then you can upload one separately.
PDF Entry
This is a PDF Entry you can see how the PDFs show when uploaded. If you do not choose a thumbnail then it will display with this icon instead.

You can add paragraph breaks to this descriptive content.
Word Doc with image
This profile entry is a Word Entry upload with a thumbnail image as well. So you should see the image that is uploaded rather than the default icon, click it to download the word doc.

This shows that you can upload a logo instead of showing the default icon.
External site with thumbnail
This is a link to another website but this has its own thumbnail. So you could upload a screen grab of the website or your design exported from Photoshop or any other image program.

If you choose to set a URL and upload a main item as an image file the main image will show as a thumbnail, will show the full-size image when clicked on and will still link to the external resource when you click on the [visit website] link.
