PHILLIPS, ADAM
Freelance Journalist
With over fifteen years in journalism and publishing, I have a background in writing, editing and project managing commercial non-fiction books and feature-writing for mainstream magazines. My work has seen me editing a magazine for The Sun newspaper; penning a coffee table book on supercars in conjunction with Evo Magazine; story editing Essex, Drugs & Rock 'n' Roll, the debut novel of ad guru Jonathan Durden; and writing two (non-trashy) biographies - one on Brad Pitt, the other on Michael Douglas.
Magazines and newspapers contributed to include The Sunday Times, Empire, Apps Magazine, PC Zone, T3 Magazine and many more. I also write copy for sites such as GAME and Yahoo!.
My screenplay, 13hrs, was premiered at Fright Fest 2010 and was released on DVD/Blu-ray. I am also halfway through writing my first novel, Feral. Other film/TV highlights have seen me directing a TV pilot and also winning a golden plaque at the Chicago Film Festival for my short film Lean On Me, which I wrote and directed.
