Local Authority Space Planning
In 2009 I assisted a Local Authority to review their property portfolio & consider alternative premises for relocation. This included reveiwing their current working practices, suggesting alternatives, impacts on the accomodation requirements & test plans for potential properties.
The Authority are yet to reach agreement on relocation due to the economic climate.
ghd
Whilst working with careyjones interiors, I managed the concept design & new workplace strategies for leading hair care brand ghd.
The brief was to create a design that represented the brand identity, whilst inspiring creativity and style within their employees. The premises completed in September 2008 to much acclaim, winning the BCO Northern award for best Designed Workplace in 2009.
Breast Cancer Haven
Whilst working with careyjones interiors, I completed the interior design & project delivery of the Haven, offering couselling & complimentary therapies for sufferers of Breast Cancer. The design is contemporary, complementing the buildings architecture & location, however the colour scheme and layout have been carefully considered to ensure that the Haven is a welcoming and calming environment. All the internal walls have been softened with curves, creating a feeling that the building and Breast Cancer Haven are enveloping their visitors.
Moso Moso
The contemporary Asian-Fusion restaurant Moso Moso opened in March 2004, on Manchester trendy Wilmslow Road, after a challenging construction phase. The intention was to create a space that maintained an oriental feel yet felt welcoming with a contemporary twist. The restaurant is split over two floors with an open upper mezzanine level. In order to create the opportunity to create private function space on the upper level the floor is enclosed with subtle sliding screens.
The lower floor is divided by booth seating and timber screens creating a soft and informal dining experience.
