Consultancy:

A well organised production desk with efficient systems is essential. Ten years as group production editor at Emap plus five years working for many different clients have supplied an unparalleled insight into the requirements for an effective production desk and its relationships with writers, suppliers and printers.
Aspect Media commissioned and acted on a report with assessments and recommendations to strengthen its system and make best use of existing skills; at Bizmedia hands-on rationalisation and set-up of proper processes solved problems for an overburdened system.
Project management:

With many years' experience of managing a project from receipt of copy to printed product, project management is another key skill, managing suppliers, co-ordinating the process, monitoring quality and making sure the job is done to schedule and budget. Experience: Includes magazine supplements and show guides at Emap, Governors annual reports for Burntwood School in south west London for many years.
Also experience of organising and managing production of daily newspapers from the stand at industry exhibitions including Offshore Europe (oil industry), Interbuild and Civils 98 and 2000.
